Can anyione suggest a decent WIRED Router/MODEM (think it has to be VDSL) to replace the BT Home Hub 5? I don't just want to turn off the WIFI, I need a router which will not emit an WIFI signal full stop. Thanks!

Unless your in an isolated location with low natural background radiation levels its a complete and utter waste of time health wise as your going to be in range of other networks or natural sources anyhow.

I think the HH is said to still keep a WIFI signal going (to use the BT wifi app should you ever need to) even if a WIFI access pont is disabled.

With regards to signal proximity, obviously you can't eradicate all risk these days. But even trying to limit immediate distance is better than nothing. So, having a WIFI signal coming at you from across the street, is better than using a WIFI router as a pillow, etc.

Another option might be to use one of the vdsl modems like the eci that used to be provided then use a small pc as a router with appropriate software.

Or just opt-out of the BT WiFi scheme, then factory reset the Home Hub. It'll disable the secondary AP.

No idea what you think it'll achieve, of course.
