Empire Total War: Should it be this way?

, The suicidal battle AI and shocking pathfinding issues.

Longstanding TW issues. So I see nothing has been improved except the eye candy. :(
But hell, why would they worry about losing my revenue when they can replace me with 10 graphics hungry kids?

Bangs RTW in drive and enjoys a couple of hours of TW's finest moment. Bugs and all.

You 2 are in the small (lucky) minority who haven't had problems.
This game is the most buggy , glitched I have ever played.

The thing is.

TW games have always been buggy until they have been patched a couple of times. Even then , they're not perfect.
I think the big issue with this series is the fact that no one seems to give two hoots if the coding is right any more. They release half tested games that they have no intention of fixing these days, more fool you people that waste money on these titles now. Maybe TW just needs a competitor!
Until then, I'll stick with RTW 1.5. It's as good as the TW series gets unless you go for a mod like EB.

Gave this game a bash a while ago and it seemed to work fine. My PC spec is dire: Athlon 64 3500+, 6800GT (now a 4650) and 2GB but i didnt seem to have any of the problems you guys do. I guess i just got lucky, mind you i never really got into the actual battling as it was just too repetitive and used autoresolve whilst i played the campaign.

Yes . The Majority of the problems are on the battlefield. :)

Can they go back to the Medieval 2/Rome engine for their next one. Those are two of my favourite games of all time. Empire is absolute crap in comparison, half performance issues (ok my pc is old, i expected this), half gameplay issues.

:eek::eek::eek:

The realistic battlefield experience is what has traditionally sold the TW series and set it apart from other God games. Either the series has degenerated further than even I thought or you are missing the point. :(
