Empire: Total War introduces a host of revolutionary new features, including true 3D naval combat. For the first time in the Total War series, you will be able to intuitively command single ships or vast fleets upon seascapes rich with extraordinary water and weather effects that play a huge role in your eventual glorious success or ignominious defeat. I cant wait for this game, its gonna be brilliant the devs have put so much work into this. They even had 3 programmers just working on the A.I. Theres some brilliant videos on gametrailers worth having a look at. Aswell as on gamespots latest preview on it, really worth looking into.
 
Should be good. Been looking forward to it since it was announced, naval combat should be a nice addition but land combat is where its at.

Who you gonna be, for me its gonna be Great Britain, im gonna feel so british when i play it, with red coats marching across the battlefields:D

Same here - I always play as GB / England in new games first time around. Then I go for the faction with the most entertaining unit 2nd time...

I'll be playing GB first time around as well, just for the red coats. Im going to teach France a lesson or two!
 
Can't wait for this game either :D. And of course I'll be British, I'll probably be British every time I play it to be honest haha.
 
I know this is an incredibly stupid question, however........

It will still work on 64 bit wont it? 32 bit is a minimum so 64 bit will be ok, or it is only compatible with 32 bit?
 
It should wotk fine on 64bit, I can't see any reason for it not to to be fair. I too cannot wait! Last game I played was shogun : total war, have I missed out on any decent ones in between?
 
love all the total war games, just need to finish building this darned PC :(

and British of course, lots of line infantry with muskets, i wonder what other unit types there will be (it really wasn't that varied in that period of history :/)

edit: i'll be increasing the amount of turns before i do anything of course :)

I'd like to try the Americans just for the navy, see what damage I can do with the USS Constitution, Constellation and United States.
 
i was going to pre-order via steam but £45 for the special pack containing the elite forces is rather steep considering it can be had for £30-35 most other places!!!
