Hi All,

I need to move house, and I hope you can advise me what to do with my PC rig to transport it safely.

Loop is made of EK fittings and EK CPU block for Intel i9-7900X and it has as a part of it EVGA Hydro Copper 1080 Ti.

So the details of the travel are:
  • PC will move between the two countries (long journey and a good few bumps in the car),
  • PC will be laying on the side of it,
  • the reservoir is closed and sealed (EK pump/reservoir combo), but to avoid the leak, I am planning to drain it the whole loop
  • the loop may stay dry-ish for a few days before I will refill it.

Now the question is:

Will the dry loop gets air inside for a few days don't get corroded?

I am a little bit in a catch 22 ;)

I don't want to risk a leak, but I don't want my loop to get corrosion inside.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Regards

Adam

BAse on your advice I will drain the loop and close it.
I will drop a bunch of paper towels into the case - just in case ;)
Thank you very much for all your help Gents.
