Hello folks,

I just bought a new OEM Emtek 7600GT zalman cooler edition and the card is quite different to the reference design: it has 3 jumpers  and I wonder if they are for modifiying volts etc. The capacitors are in different positions as well.

The brand is new for me and is Emtek (made in china of course). 3DMark05 at default speed is about 5800 (just about 400 improvement from my overclocked 6800 vanilla)

The default speed are 560 and 1400 and nibitor reads 1.3v for the core and the timmings are very relaxed comparing with a XFX 7600GT xxx bios. I don't know the memory make as they are covered by heatsinks.

anybody has the same card? what are the 3 jumpers for?

thanks,

I think is the galaxy 7600Gt xtreme edition which has the jumpers to control the volts. The look exactly the same, apart of the cooler, but my one clocks a bit slower.

I need now to find a manual ;)

That's from the Emtek website, so you maybe right and it is a Galaxy. Did you happen to get it off the bay? I only ask as I've spotted 7600GT's with voltage jumpers on there. If you didn't it might be worth a look.

yeah I got it from there.

To be honest don't care about volts mods yet as I play BF2 and farcry 64bits and the card is powerfull enough even at stock speed with max quality. What I notice is a big decrease in fraps using vsync on in games and 3Dmark05 and I don't understand why

I've got one of these Emtek cards, as per luismenendez I got it off of an auction site and wandered what the jumpers were for.

Must say I'm really impressed with how cool it runs. Idles between 40-45° depending on the ambient temperature. Even during the recent hot spell, under load it never hit 60°. Quiet as well

have you overclocked the card?

I can get 645/1500 stable but haven't tried any jumper yet

Haven't touched the memory yet, but I let ATI Tool "try" and find a safe overclock, but it crashed my system when it hit 641MHz

I don't know whether this is the limit though as I've just discovered my PSU is borked :(

I was a bit more lucky and went to 665 and stopped there but at 660 crash 3DMark05
