Strange one this. I had eMule running overnight and one file had finished downloading in it by this morning. However, when I tried to open the file, Vista said that it wasn't there. I looked in my incoming files folder in eMule and the folder was totally empty, even those files which were presently downloading weren't there. I then did a search for the files that were presently downloading and it seemed they weren't on the PC at all, even though they were being downloaded onto it

Anyone have any idea why this could be? Is it possible that Vista erased everything through p2p for security?

Is your download folder under Program Files ?

If so I suspect that Folder Virtualization may be the issue.

You may find them here :

\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\eMule
