On my laptop i have inbuilt bluetooth. Whenever i turn my laptop off the bluetooth will not automatically turn back on when i reboot, i have to enable it manually. Is there a way to make it so xp automatically turns your bluetooth on at startup as i have a bluetooth mouse so it is a pain to turn it on everytime!

Thanks

just add a shortcut of the bluetooth software to your startup
in the start progarms menu

or look in the bluetooth software and enable run at windows startup

Further to Tosk's advice above, make sure the Bluetooth Support Service is set to automatic in your services; this should ensure the service is loaded at start up.

To navigate to Services, go to Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Services.

HTH, dagwoood.

I havent got any bluetooth software as far as i know just the normal windows xp software. THe bluetooth service is set to automatic but this does not solve the problem.
thanks

Ive got it to turn the bluetooth on after windows starts using some bluetooth software but i need the mouse to login to windows and the bluetooth isnt turned on at that point. Any suggestions???

Thanks

Download tune up utilities... theres a startup option to see what hardware/software you want to boot on start up.
