Hey guys,
I’m in the process of trying to setup a HP Officejet L7780 wireless printer on my mate’s network…
I can get it to print wired (Cat5) but wireless is a no-no and that’s the main reason he bought it
When you submit a printing job the printer receives part of the process and makes some encouraging noises and the onboard LCD says printing, but that’s were it ends? A couple of seconds later the laptop where we are trying to print from displays the ‘unable to print’ popup in the system tray – you then have to cancel the print from the printer itself or it stays in limbo.
Both devices are connected to the router and we can even start scanning from the printer and that arrives to the laptop okay but we just can’t print? I’m now convinced it’s a network problem, possibly something on the router – the Netgear DG834G, is there anything that I physically need to configure on there because that has remained untouched.
It’s so annoying that it works straight away when you plug the cat5 in
Any ideas?
Cheers,
SW.
