Enabling SLI on MSI gtx 970 Help!

So I recently got a second 970. Never sli'd. I have a bridge on the two cards but can't seemed to get them into SLI. The system detects them both though.

I went to the NVIDIA control panel thing to configure SLI but it's on disabled and won't give me the option to turn it on.

I have the maximus vi Formula. As far as I'm aware it does support sli. I have them in the top two pci e slots.

Dipswitches? Yeh, have it in those slots

I have nothing in the other slots, just my two GTX 970's

No monitor in the second one. I think I found the problem, it could potentially be a big derp XD My mate gave me an xfire bridge from his old 280's . Only just noticed their not sli. Not sure if it matters or not, probably just a big "No no" moment.

Sorry for late replies, appreciate the help ( currently abroad though) I don't think I have an SLI bridge but I'm going to just buy one I guess. Thank you ^^
