Enabling Tri Fire!!

Yeah should be the same as enabling xfire so AI on standard, regarding PSU, below quote from guru3d regarding tri-fire Power requirements.

I would say an 850 watt PSU may be cutting it fine, more so with an overclocked i7/i5

Oh bugger that, not gonna spend another £150 + for a new psu :p
But the single 5970 would be fine ?
Do you know what the advanced does on the AI ?

Thanks a lot.

Yeah 5970 is the fasted GFX card on the planet so it's all good there ;)

A bit more research regarding CCC AI and maybe you should leave it on advanced, if you get any corruption go back to standard.

Thanks for that mate ;)
But disabling A.I will turn the crossfire off correct ?
I would have thought there be a setting saying crossfire enabled/disabled :p

So my PSU will run the 5970 just fine.
If i did go nuts and went for the tri-fire, what PSU would you or someone recomend ?
I guess the 480 would need a good 1500w to run SLI ?

Cheers :)

Yeah no AI=no xfirex, you can aways use GPU-z to see if it's on or not and you also get the xfire logo in games when it is activated. For tri-fire PSU, I would say 1000 watt will do the job.

Cool, thanks for that :)
I'm liking the the look of the Cooler Master one.
So if you tried you run cards on a underpowerd psu, what would go wrong ?
How much watts are some guys running on the GTX 480 sli by the way ?

well im soon going to run a 5970 with 5850 in tri fire :D

will tell youy my results

When you doing that mate :D what PSU will you be running with them.

Thanks for you're help :)
