Hi all,

currently run my 7970 at 1200/1650 1256mv standard afterburner overclocking however im after more from this card and sure that i can get it :)

however as soon as i mod the afterburner cfg to enable the overclocking the screen starts spamming out if there are any windows open and opening haven causes instant brown screen forcing a restart.

anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for your reply rusty

All i lm doing is enabling the overclocking (clocks unchanged) and the pc spams out??

Tried uninstalling and reibstalling ab and no change. Is it poss something to do with the 12.11 beta drivers?

Did you follow the guide in LtMatt's thread or are you doing it via a different method. I'm not an expert on the ways of unlocking MSI AB but the issue you are describing sounds like the memory.

Set it to stock clocks and then unlock MSI AB using LtMatt's method and then clock up and see if you get the same thing. You overclock is pretty decent already so you may be tinkering on the edge of unstable.
