Enabling XMP = slower Firestrike score

Hi Guys

I've recently bought some G.Skill 3000Mhz DDR4, when i leave it at stock 2133 I get a Firestrike standard score around 150-200 higher than when i enable XMP and run the memory at 3000.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Hmmm, looks like it sets the CPU back to stock speeds when I enable it....back off for now :rolleyes:

Aye, that sounds like XMP! Just set the speed, timings, volts etc yourself if you can, so you'll get faster RAM without ruining your overclock.

Would have thought it would have helped rather than hold it back a little :/ have to take my XMP off and set it manually now
