encoding videos for itouch

I am using Videora, and with the bitrate at 512 for video and quality on high (but not best), the file size are around 1G per hour of video.

What do you use/recommend, since that is a little high..........16G doesn't go very far at all.

The programs i use on my Mac are Handbrake which is great for doing DVDs. For other video files i use FFMpegX which also works well but is nor quite as user friendly.

Visualhub is a popular choice and is really simple to use, its not free though.
