Hi,

I've a laptop sat next to me that will not boot up. I've tried using the built in repair tools, I've tried cmd and the fixboot options but nothing works. I am guessing it's because it is encrypted.

Windows 7 Pro laptop and when I try and do a fresh install using the built in menu screens it tells me that bitlocker needs turning off and then when I click ok for it to close it and carry on it does nothing, just stops.

I know bitlocker isn't running, it's Deslock+ Pro that the drive is encrypted in.

I've booted a linux live USB and you can't mount the drive, but the 3 SDA partitions show in Gparted. Tried repairing boot partition with Linux, no joy. Tried formatting the drive, no joy, says it's done it but as soon as you try and factory reset install it throws the same bitlocker message.

What are my options?

Do I just need to wipe the entire laptop, recovery partition as well and try and get a fresh windows install on it?

Thanks.
