Hi,
In the next few days I’m going to install Windows 7 over Vista . The problem is I have a lot of encrypted files and passworded winzip files. If I do a fresh or an upgrade to windows 7 what will happen to the encrypted files?

I have the password a the file name.

Any advice?

Your files will remain intact and you should be able to open them with Winzip as normal but you should always back up regardless.

How did you encrypt the files? If you used Windows to do it then you will need to backup your EFS keys. If just zip files, then you're fine.
