End of the road...

Boyz II Men.

Now that I have your attention, I've come to the "end of the road" with regards to my current employment...

In 10days time I shall be handing my notice in on what has been a glorious and very much enjoyable 2years and 2months work.

Haha oh how I will treasure some of the moments there. I laughed, I nearly cried and yes I have punched the wall.

But I need your help!

How do you write a notice? Can I hand write on a scrappy bit of paper? Or should I print out a lovely and well written notice?

Dear Boss,

As required by my contract of employment, I hereby give you four weeks' notice of my intention to leave my position as Job.

I wish both you and Company every good fortune and I would like to thank you for having me as part of your team.

Just write a brief letter stating your intentions and the relevant dates. They'll usually have a leavers interview of some description.

I hereby give you my 1 weeks notice as of 8/8/2010 with the intention of leaving the 15/08/2010.

I'd like to thank you for the opportunity working here and all the best in the future.

Nice and brief as I don't care too much, but care enough to realise I'm lucky to have been in employment before any of you mention that :)
