Ender 3 Pro

I've had an Ender 3 and now got an Ender 3 v2, both are quite similar to the Pro. They're superb printers for what they cost. They can print very well out of the box and are a good base for mods and improvements.

Outside of some minor mods, you are better served by getting a that has everything you need to start with. Mods add up and get expensive quick.

E.g. my Ender 3 V2. Linear rail system for JUST the Y axis. 110 dollars. Parts to make a custom dual Z axis 50 dollars. Direct drive hotend setup 100 dollars. Better bed springs 10 dollars. Bed underside insulation 10 dollars. CR touch sensor 30 dollars.

You can see my printer is almost double the cost it was originally, and I still dont even have linear rails on the X axis.

My advice. Take the 3 pro for what it is. Replace the extruder plastic arm with a metal one before it breaks. If printing anything but PLA buy some 'Capricorn' blue tubing with the correct cutter, so you get a nice flat cut. Buy yellow bed springs to reduce amount of levelling between prints.

Then.. take it as it is. A little workhorse.

Make sure the wheels and all bolts are tight, the frame is square. The eccentric nuts on the wheels do them up 'just' enough to get no wobble. If you do them too tight the wheels will wear VERY quickly and you will start getting issues.
