Enemy Engaged 2

This is the only info i could fine but i will be waiting for this

"G2 Games have today released the first ever footage of their upcoming helicopter simulation, Enemy Engaged 2. The high resolution cinematic footage is taken from the introduction movie of the game and can be downloaded from the official game site : www.eech2.com
In addition, G2 have also announced that Enemy Engaged 2 will feature online multiplayer support in the final version of the game. More details are to be released about the multiplayer aspects of the game in the coming weeks."

Looks good. Although I have to say I'm confused as to why they have the RAH-66 Commanche in it, considering the program was cancelled by the yanks a few years ago so it will never actually exist.

But still, nice to see people still making flight games. I must admit I probably won't buy it personally as I doubt it will be a "sim", rather more of an arcade jobby.

Indeed, I was thinking the same thing. Plus the Russian Mi-28 will probably never see any real frontline service.

Don't let the slow-mo trailer fool you. The first enemy engaged was a fully fledged heli sim with a deep, dynamic campaign.

Haven't watched the trailer yet. At work at the mo, and unfortunatly stuck with NT4 & ie5 with no flash, java etc so I can't view a lot of website. Can't run streaming video or download anything either.

Bit of a pain really.

Oddly enough I have just been reading the forums. The support on this game is terrible. I have the same problems as so many. As soon as I set the game above 1280x1024 res the game crashes and I cannot get back into the options to change it. I hope there is going to be a patch to sort out the problems...

Have you managed to get the game working at another res ? Pics :)

I bought this a few days ago. To get it to even startup I had to rename the intro movies to .bak instead of .mpg so it skipped em.

Graphically the game is dire with everything maxed, models are fine but the terrain is awful. I cant find any kind of tutorial and the campaign screen isnt very intuitive. I've shelved it for now. As for support, what support, cant even find a forum to whinge on :D

I loved the Apache Havoc and Comanche Hokum games, they, for me, were the best chopper sims.

I read some user reviews of this re-release on Gamespot and it got slated :(

Scort.

It seems happy to run for most people at high resolutions but you have to get your settings right first time because once set, the options menu cannot be accessed again unless you delete "game.cfg"

If you want tutorials, try the following. They are for EECH but most of what is written still applies:
