enemy territory problems

every time i play this game, it will come up with the box telling me its crashed and do i want to send off a error report to MS.
ive got a dualcore cpu and this is the first time ive tried to play it with this cpu so is this another game with affinity probs? or is it something else?
also using the latest ati drivers if that has any effect

Start simple and work your way up. Updating PB was a good move, now try uninstalling and re-installing the whole thing.

See how that goes......

yeah, ive done that a few times now, but its got worse actually as it wont even go to the main game menu screen like it did before. i used to go to that screen and set the game to only use 1 core on the cpu but i cant even do that grrr.

Is this game still popular? Used to love it and play it loads! Tempted to reinstall if there are still busy servers to be found.

well my problems seem to be very hit and miss, some times its fine and other im left with a frozen PC, oh the joy of pc gaming. i think ill stick to BF2 then :cool:

I got this on my new PC (I was devastated frankly) and I've never found a fix...

PB, Reinstalls, copying the old install over from my old PC, updating drivers, rolling back drivers, anything and everything and still it crashes out with a 'There was a problem with ET.exe'

yeah, and it made little difference, ive been told by people running dual core cpu's that its fine on their system too

yeah strange - on older hardware people dont seem to have any problems.

ps no fix that i know of either - i am sure divine would have found one if there was one! he is a studious 19 (!) yearold now (happy bday for last week mate!)

sorry for slightly off topic - just rtying to give it a bit of a bump as people should show interest in what can only be described as the best free game in the world ever!
