So i've been training on weights properly now for about 6 months now and for the past 3 weeks i stopped working out due to my sister coming back for that time from oz.

So i went down the gym on saturday and decided to drop the weights quite a bit and get the reps as i knew i wouldnt be able to follow up what i done 3 weeks ago and i was absolutely exhausted after doing just isolation work on the arms (didnt think it would be wise to do compound straight away)

so i thought tonight ill do some compound resulting in 5 different exercises 3 sets of 8-12 now after my 3rd exercise i was exhausted couldnt do anymore i even dropped the weights down and everything...

What should i do to overcome this? should i just start doing some jogging for the first few sessions will that build up my energy levels? or am i becoming to impatient? does it really take a week or so to recover after just 3 weeks out of not working out?:(

Make sure you're getting food in you before you're workout,

My pre-workout meal consists of (just to give you ideas);

2x Fruit
1/2 Cup Peanuts
1 Boiled Egg
1 Cup of 2% Milk
1 Cup of Coffee

Notice the coffee, it might all be placebo, but i think it helps. Only day i feel exhausted is on chest day, but that happens no matter what i eat/amount of rest the night before.

Hope this helps, Tom

I'm the same. Your body gets used to doing sweet fa very quickly. Just stick at it even though you feel rough :)
