Energy prices according to income

The problem with the people in the UK is that they want lots of free stuff, but they aren't prepared to pay tax to get it.

It's like a recent poll for the armed forces. I seem to remember it was 55% wanted spending to increase on the military and if it did, 56% didn't want taxes to rise to pay for it.

I mean if you are that set against paying tax, move to a country where there is no free stuff. I doubt you will be any better off.

The problem is we already give so much with little in the way of results and with so much wasted. Instead of accepting our empire days are over and we are a nation in decline we keep clambering to claim as much as we can from people, there’s not much more they can take.

I agree. The constant penalising of high earners is getting old. They need to find a way to tax the people that use loopholes and hide their wealth - tax those that are wealthy, not those that are high earners. The sooner that everyone gets it through their heads that a 100k salary doesn't mean you are wealthy, the better.

TLDR; high earner != wealthy

High income : high outgoings != wealthy

Medium income : low outgoings = wealthy

Doesn’t matter how much someone makes, if they spend it all and in some cases more than they earn.

We have an energy thread already

The rest is politics which belongs in SC
