enermax aurora keyboard

It looks nice, but I still prefer my Logitech Ultra-X keyboard. Just because it has some nice slim hotkeys along the top for opening E-Mail, Pausing music, etc. I don't think the Enermax has that, but the brushed aluminium does look nice. :)

I was also considering the enermax aurora keyboard but then came across this:

Weather you can justify the price of it is another question. :D :p

It looks oh so tempting though.

Hi again stickroad - guess what I've got one of these too! :) I did struggle to justify the price but they are so nice and I caved. If you can afford and are willing to spend the money its a great keyboard.

HI, yeah I built a PC for a mate at the start of the year, he bought this to go with, so i had the pleasure of playing with it for a while and to be honest its one of the nicest keyboards i've had the pleasure of using, the keys are just perfect for me, and a delight to press (especially compared to the plastic clunk i'm currently using)

The brushed alu looks the part too... looks very clean and expensive in real life, which you cant really appreciate from a web page :)

Tis expensive though, but if you have little left to upgrade otherwise then its a worthwhile investment and one I think will last you a lifetime so long as you keep it nice and clean ( lol no smoking or eating over it if you want it to stay mint) :)

EDIT: Actually its a tenner less than when I used it I just noticed, so even better value for money

I guess I am - I've got the MX revolution as well. :D

Here's a pic of my desk

I'm uploading some close ups of the keyboard. I'll add them once they're ready.

The MX is a nice mouse - its very light and highly responsive. My only grips is that the back/forward buttons feel a little cheap compared to my old MX 700 but there is nothing wrong with them.

With the new release of set point x64 drivers everything works with Vista so couldn't be more pleased.

I used to have the Enermax Aurora. Lovely build, looked very nice, and solid to touch. But I couldn't in the end justify spending that much on a keyboard so I sold it and went for a cheaper MS one.

Im just trying to decide weather to get the Logitech keyboard or the Enermax Aurora Brushed Aluminium Keyboard?

They both look really nice.

greenlizard0 quick question, what were the keys made of?

Also Shine same question for the keyboard that you have?

Thanks

They keys were made of plastic, and apparently the whole keyboard was designed to be like a laptop's keyboard, but bigger. I think that was another reason why I sold it on - the just didn't depress downward enough. I'd personally not recommend it to be honest.

The keys are made of plastic, the keyboard itself is composed of a single-cut piece of Plexiglas and then set in an aluminium frame.

I got an Enermax Aurora aluminium keyboard a while back and it is still holding up really well - no wearing, very responsive and still looks the part.

Check out the link below (pics half-way down)

I would highly recommend this keyboard as the overall quality is superb, plus it doesn't have knobs and fancy lights - it also has the added bonus of 2x usb ports and headphone & mic inputs discreetly hidden away.

It does exactly what a keyboard should do only it looks good doing it :D
