Hello!

I currently have a Enermax Galaxy 850W EGX850EWL ATX2.2 Modular PSU and i was wondering if this power supply would be enough to fully power a GeForce GTX 260, even overclocked???

Thank you for responding.

Easy - you could power a 260 with a decent PSU around the 500w range.

TBH your PSU should cope with two cards in SLi! :D

It's a quality bit of kit that - always wanted a Galaxy PSU. :(

Would a GeForce GTX 260 still power completely fine on this power supply when in combination with the hardware below???

Board: Asus P5Q Deluxe Intel P45
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500
Memory: Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2 6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)

Yeah, i'd be surprised if that lot pushed far past 350w at full load.

I had an e2160 @ 3.6ghz, 8gb of DDR2 and a 3870X2 a while back and it didn't load up much past 390w.

Overkill tbh. I have the same psu as a temporary one until I get my OCZ 1000W back from RMA and it is more than enough for my rig as per sig and that includes a d5 waterpump, 7 fans, 6 hard drives, 3 optical drives.

Oh and GT, my psu will be going up for sale when mine comes back so look out for it in MM.

I have an enermax galaxy 1kw. Bought it two years ago and not a problem with it. It is overkill for my rig, and a lesser wattage model would have sufficed, but at least it is future-proof :P

I’ve had my Galaxy 850W since ordered date: 20 Jul, 2007, bought it from OcUK, and before that, I had an Noisetaker 600W, which was also bought from OcUK.
