Hi got a WC build coming up soon and was gonna go with 1400rpm Gentle Typhoons as they are way up there on the radiator fan list.

Its gonna be an XSPC RX 360, so low FPI, do you think clusters will cut it? as they have the edge on the aesthetics I have in mind for the build...

I HAVE seen clusters used on rads so it really depends on the performance difference if any you'd see between them and GT's

This on 20mm shrouds too I might add

Cheers

on shrouds should mean the performance would be better anyway

GTs are the daddys if you want silence.

obviously a lot of people use the enermax fans for the bling factor, using a shroud will make the difference negligable imho

Cheers, well I do want silence and the best performance I can get out of the rad, hence initially opting for GT's, have one already too so only need two more...

My options are to paint the GT blades white (Scared of losing that damn snap-ring!), or go cluster or xigmatek crystal white LED.

If you say i'll be alright on shrouds then that's fine, will I be ok on noise too though? what on earth is a 'twister' bearing lol, I like my bearings to twist (turn)!

Hi, if you have any old 120mm fans you don't use, cut the support arm's which hold the fan, smooth them down and you have a shroud. Cheap as chips , shrouds cost about roughly £7.

I have two clusters on my PA120.2 rad for my 5970 loop, don't have any issues with them to be honest running at around 700rpm, GPU barely goes over 45c even after long testing/gaming

Don't use shrouds and haven't used the GT's to compare though!

Know what i was gonna buy clear phobya shrouds for six quid each but will maybe canibalise my akasa transparent frame fans bought for five quid each. benefit is theyre 25mm which will be slightly better according to skinnee than 20mm.

I think modded GT's with white blades will look great and they really are professional grade ventilation units
