Engadget website load time...

For some reason when Load the Engadget page (www.engadget.com), it takes ages to load the Flash adverts before I can begin to scroll down the page (it takes maybe 5 seconds to load/buffer while the flash loads).

Anyone else experience this? Anyway to improve this?

Install Stylish, and use the custom style "Engadget - Minus Garbage Plus Width (Dec 2011)"

Makes the site so much better

But just to confirm, is the behaviour described above typically associated with such websites with intensive flash ads?

Nope, I have not used IE by my own will for a good 3 years now.
