One of my friends has recently got engaged to her boyfriend of 5 years, and I'm kind of stumped as to what to get for an engagement present.

What are the usual/useful gifts to get?

Give it to him, for use with her.... = happy fun times.

I made myself a copy.... Gave it to my mates to look at (without tellin them it was a clone of myself)
They commented on how large and real it looked and they wished there own was a big.
When i told them it was actually me they were close to being sick as one had licked it!!!!! LOL
they they said they were impressed with my size and my missus is a lucky girl

my mates gf was jelous i think
