Engagement...

Pickers proposed to me on our lovely holiday to the Isles of Scilly... and I said yes

So we're both now engaged to be married... somewhen in the next few years!

He was very romantic bless him! He decided to take me for a walk around to Peninnis (my favourite spot on the Isles of Scilly - has lots of big rocks in the middle of the grass and round the cliff edge) but kind of got lost enroute. So instead he found a big rock for us to plonk on overlooking the sea and then asked me the the big question

I gawped like a goldfish for a few seconds until a couple walked past, saw the ring and said "oooh how romantic - is it a yes" and then I blubbed and said yes

So yay! New home, now engaged... we're going to have to celebrate lots and lots!

I did look like I was trying to catch flies! Completely shocked, didn't expect it for another couple of years - but then we have been together for yonks and a day now so I should have realised! Stupid me!

Well yes... but it took so long I didn't expect it, which made it very loverly!

Pickers got paranoid though and thought I had figured out what he was up to when I came back from the Isle of Wight fest - I was going round singing "Lets get maarrrrrrrried" (by the Proclaimers) at the top of my voice! Little did he know I just liked the cheeseyness of the song

Wait on the subject of children!! At least a year, two is better.

No need to rush things, ok?

Get the most out of the rush of two being one before you make it three!!

Wooooooah!! I'm 22!! Not quite yet matey! We've got lots of things to do yet without having kiddywinkles to think about!

Don't get me wrong, I love them to bits... but I like knowing I can give them back
