Engenius Wifi Problems

I have the Engenius EUB9603 wireless 11n adaptor. When I first used it I could get a few good signals which I could connect to, but signals were instantly lost as soon as I tried to use the internet. Now I can view the same good signals but it wont allow me to connect to any of them. I'm pretty clueless with this kind of thing and just expected it to work without much technical know-how. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

a bit more info would help here...what encryption? connecting to an n network or mixed b/g/n? Are you trying to connect to a network you own (based on you said you could connect to a few signals)

I dont know anything about encryption or the type of network. I'm trying to get connected to open wifi, as in wifi hotspots to get internet for free. I can simply connect with my mobile and presumed it would be that easy with a pc and wifi adaptor.

ok, well that should be easy then...scan for a network and connect! Somwe like the cloud require you to enter your email adderss and you get about half an hour free
