id like to see Ben White and James Maddison rewarded for their excellent performances with a place, along with Trippier. Can’t make my mind up about Trent.

The back up keeper slots are tight, but I feel Ramsdale and Pope will get the nod.

I really hope both Maguire and Dier are not selected. One or the other please. Back up LB is a tough one now with the absence of Chilwell.

Upfront, I think I’d like to see Kane joined by Toney, Wilson or both if possible. Kane is showing heavy fatigue, need decent options.

Sky reporting JWP very unlikely to be included. If you take Maddison, you’ll still have a top notch FK taker. Trippier not bad at them either.

White hasnt played cb for Arsenal this season so the players you mean are Trippier, James and Walker. He's gone for his faves basically.

They might be his faves, but from a tactical POV, Saka will very likely be RW and those two together have probably been the best RW combo by quite a way in the league this season.

What is it with Ben White. Southgate wanted him in this squad but he’s turned it down again. Just can’t see what the issue is with him.

True, he is odd, a footballer who doesn’t actually like football. He’d rather go to a fashion show or spend two hours under the sunbed than watch a match, the big tart

If he doesn't want to go then just never include him in the conversation again in the future. You don't want a guy who doesn't want to be there anyway, it will just drag others down.

What about if it’s because he really doesn’t get on with the manager or the coaches and struggles with it mentally?

If there’s a new manager who he does get on with, do you continue to exclude him? I can’t agree with that. It’s cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Absolutely ridiculous talking of dragging players to court and suspending them for not wanting to play for their country. It’s a game of football, not bloody national service. Players will have their own personal reasons for rejecting a call up. Just respect the players wishes.

Anyway, it’s not as if he’s been named in the squad and then refused, he’s asked before the squad was chosen to not be considered.

I don't want any Liverpool players ever playing international football, under any circumstances. They only ever get injured. Doak's just pulled out of the Scotland squad with injury before the tournament has even started.

Horrible selfish attitude. Don’t give a crap about the players own dreams and ambitions, just as long as he’s fit for Liverpool.

I can kind of understand it with meaningless mid season games, but not major international tournaments
