Some of the newer names wont get a game of course until its too late but at least this pick is a step in the right direction.

Would imagine Shaw, Grealish, Bowen and Quansah will be cut plus probably Trafford and Dunk or Wharton.

He offers something a bit different though. Rashford is just competing directly with Gordon, Foden, Kane and Watkins (I'd hope that Toney gets cut, but even he's had a better season than Rashford)

I think Grealish is a much better player than we are seeing at City - for some reason (maybe Pep wants it that way) he is just acting as a passive decoy for KDB/Foden and doing nothing proactive with the ball 99% of the time. At least when he has played for England Southgate has got him actually making crosses into the box etc

Best thing for him now would be to go back to Villa before its too late.

As good as Maguire has been for England in tournaments, he makes me nervous when he gets on the ball. I feel like he gives the opposition press opportunities to take the ball from him because he takes long time to get the ball out of his feet.

Gomez gets a pass because he can play across the whole back line. To say Trent shouldn't go is also blinkered. His passing range is among the best in the world, never mind the best in the squad.
