I think you may have missed the point of my post.Gomez gets a pass because he can play across the whole back line. To say Trent shouldn't go is also blinkered. His passing range is among the best in the world, never mind the best in the squad.

Trent isn't so bad, he was out for a while and it'll help his sharpness, but yes, Gomez could do with the extended rest.I think you may have missed the point of my post.
I don't want any Liverpool players ever playing international football, under any circumstances. They only ever get injured. Doak's just pulled out of the Scotland squad with injury before the tournament has even started.Trent isn't so bad, he was out for a while and it'll help his sharpness, but yes, Gomez could do with the extended rest.
Without Branthwaite that means 1 left footed defender who's not actually fit yet.
But how many of them will return from the Euros as Palace players?4 Palace players going to the Euros
My word.
Tricky one. He's very similar to Foden and Eze, and Foden has been the best player in the league and Eze is much more impactful off the bench. It may well have come down to Bowen v Grealish, and Bowen is an proper winger, which we're short on. I'm ok with it as a shout. Is Gealish not fully fit? He seems the strangest choice to leave out.
Doak was injured anyway AFAIK as he hadn’t featured for even the U21’s AFAIK so it was no real surprise he was sent home by Scotland.I don't want any Liverpool players ever playing international football, under any circumstances. Horrible selfish attitude. Don’t give a crap about the players own dreams and ambitions, just as long as he’s fit for Liverpool.I don't want any Liverpool players ever playing international football, under any circumstances. He had been injured but was back in full training and Steve Clarke confirmed he was due to play some part in Scotland's game on Monday but picked up another injury and withdrew.Doak was injured anyway AFAIK as he hadn’t featured for even the U21’s AFAIK so it was no real surprise he was sent home by Scotland.
Just to be clear, this is 100% my view. I could not care less about International football anymore and if you give me the option of a Liverpool player being happy to have made the squad but being injured for a pre-season game for Liverpool or a player temporarily unhappy at missing out on the squad but being fit and available for Liverpool then there's no choice to be made.Horrible selfish attitude. Don’t give a crap about the players own dreams and ambitions, just as long as he’s fit for Liverpool.
I can kind of understand it with meaningless mid season games, but not major international tournaments
CB doesn't really matter what foot they are.Without Branthwaite that means 1 left footed defender who's not actually fit yet.
