England

i feel exactly the same way as you, i plan to leave this country in the future tho and to be honest i dont think ill ever want to come back here

Lulz.....man-up you wimps...

Caught on the BNP list were you..:)

Just because I don't approve of our immigration laws that doesn't make me a racist.

What's more, I'm black. So no, I don't think I can even join the BNP.

Nope I feel the same way to be honest theres some good people here but in my opinion GB is just circling the drain at the moment. I'm working on my escape route unfortunately its still going to take me 4-6 years.

I think I live in a parallel universe sometimes. If you want to see a nation that's overrun with immigrants an spiraling the drain then try living somewhere like South Africa.

Honestly, some people have no idea about how lucky they are sometimes.

Chill...it was a non serious reply to a silly question.

I mean, what do you expect people to say?...things are bad at the minute, depressing as hell, its winter, dark nights...etc,etc....prime wrist slashing time.

My attitude is, if you think its better anywhere else, then leave, try something else, somewhere else.

Just bear in mind that the statistics show over 70% of Brits who leave the country return within 5 years.

That should tell you something.

I know exactly how lucky I am, and I don't dispute that I'm a lot better off than living in a third world country (I didn't think that was ever in question?). I think you're taking it out of context slightly though, the age old "be thankful for what you have" notion can be used in pretty much any context, granted. But I was talking about the changes in our country, not the changes in South Africa.

If it helps you, then I am very grateful for not living in South Africa. And I'm not ungrateful for living in the UK, hence my argument about 'born and raised'.

I expect people to say what they have been saying, obviously. But not really to throw around accusations of racism and cowardess without any effort to join the conversation constructively.

If you read my post you'd know my conflicts with leaving, it's an open debate. If you think it's a silly question then don't reply, my post was quite clearly serious.

My answer was serious.

Even though you might think it, we don't live in a place what your GF is going to get robbed, stabbed or raped when she walks out the door. It's very unlikely that such a thing will happen.

Non-english speakers are in the minority in the UK, so called because there are so few of them.

Chavs are over played by the media. If you think they are a new edition to the social make-up of this country then they ain't.

The government isn't trying to give you a heart-attack; in case you haven't noticed it's the entire first world that's suffering, not just you and not just the UK.

The NHS can provide excellent care, but you rarely hear about the good side because it's a soft political target. As an example, the feedback I get from foreign mothers I know is that the pre and post natal care provided by the NHS is vastly superior to anywhere outside Scandinavia.

No-one is laughing at you. You need to realise that as a British person living in Britain you're pretty much at the top of the pile in terms of the quality of life you have available to you, regardless of what anyone says or what the newspapers would have you think.

Good, go, and close the door behind you. There are too many moaners like you in this country anyway.

You lot honestly don't know you're born!

I've lived in South Africa and spent long periods working in Spain, Belgium, and the US, and can tell you that you truly do not realise how lucky you are... Every European country has immiagration problems, walk around Brussels at night at tell me how safe you feel for example.

And as for South Africa... don't even get me started.

I agree with what Bes and Asprilla say. Sometimes people just need to put down their newspapers switch off the tv and realise it ain't that bad. No country is perfect. I would like to live in Canada or somewhere for a year just to see how different life is there when your living there not just there on a holiday.

I lived in Canada for two years, it's no better or worse than the UK apart from the extremes of weather they experience.

You could move abroad but that's full of foreigners too.

What do you do to try and make your community a better place? Not a lot I would guess,
stop looking to the government to improve your life because they wont. Get out there and do something about it.

If you can't be arsed to do that then I would simply say think yourself lucky you were born in this country rather than being brought up a child labourer in rural China. You could have a hell of a lot more to be worrying about.....like feeding yourself.

Dont believe the lies sown by The Daily Mail, not everyone you meet is more likely to stab then then help you. Life in England really is good, living in Peterborough which is the hotspot for immigration to the Uk and everyone now seems to get one with each other, yeah we've had problems in the past with different ethnic groups, but they have always been between their own and are pretty much no longer a factor within life here. Ive lived here 28 years and have never been stabbed, raped or anything. The only fights and trouble ive ever been involved in on the streets has been caused by other (drunk) white people.

We got it good round here people! I could think of much worse places to live right now...
