...do I HAVE to have my TV and soudbar set the enhanced to watch a 4k blu ray?
Reason is I have an intermittent issue with my Sony XF9000 sound bar where it will say there is no signal despite everything being switched on OK. If I change the HDMI mode to standard on my TV (Sony KD-49XE8004) or the soundbar then the picture returns.
However, I'd like to run a everything in enhanced mode. This does work most of the time but because it's intermittent I'm wondering if it's a firmware issue with the soundbar.
I've tried the blu ray (Sony UBP X700) direct in to the TV (avoiding HDMI arc) and it's fine. Also, no issues with my Virgin V6 box or PS4. I've also tried different HDMI leads and I've made sure I'm using high speed ones also.
