HI there

For those interested we now have plenty of 7900's to go round:-

300 x BFG 7900 GT's in stock!
100 x Gainward 7900 GT's in stock!
500 x OcUK 7900 GT's in stock! (NVIDIA Reference cards in retail box) On OcUK This Week Only

Also smaller quantities of Leadtek, MSI and XFX in stock and arriving daily too.

These cards are well priced, overclock like mad and OcUK is one of the only Etailors to have good stock levels and our pricing is competitive, especially considering we have product in stock. :)

We've also got some Asus, Gainward and OcUK 7900 GTX cards left too, but nearly all gone. :)

Gibbo any news on the XFX GeForce 7900GTX 512MB GDDR3 XXX.

They arrive every other day in small orders so backorders are shipping. Place a backorder for one and you should recieve in approx 2 weeks time.

How much do you think a 7900gt will cost in 2-3 months?

Might see them going as cheap as £160 ish as I doubt NVIDIA will do a price drop because its already too cheap for the tier of card it is. I suspect just like the 7800's the price will now move very little for the next 3-6 months.

who has bought the ocuk brand of 7900GT can anyone give me an idea of which cards they are? usual they are point of view? is this the case this time too?

Thanks,

Nox

They are NVIDIA reference cards with NV reference coolers in Galaxy packaging. See www.galaxy-hk.com

If they are like ati, one factory makes the boards then 3rd party add the cooler and bundle. So they are all from same factory, if like ati.

thanks for that, what are these guys like? i don't know much about them, seem ok though?

They are very big in Hong Kong and the rest of the far east as they are seen as a higher-end manufacturer over there due to fancy heatsink designs they do etc.

Over here they are just like any other card except for they come in a nice flashy glittery box, have some Nascar game with them. The cards are all NVIDIA built so no issues there and if you need support then you just deal with OcUK who will sort out any problems. :)

Gibbo, Please could you List Everything that comes in the box with the OcUK 7900GT.

Also, how long does the guarantee last with it?

Thanks

You get the card, Nascar 2004 game, DVI-Analogue Adapter and maybe a a few other bits. Warranty is 1yr I believe.

sounds like a good card to get. doe sthe ocuk version also have 24pipes, its not crippled in any way is it?

It has 24 pipes. :) Doubt it's crippled from the stunning overclocks people have been getting. :) ... and the benchmarks.

not a bad card, but price is a little on the high side seeing as how the xfx 7900gt is for £199 inc vat and free delivery from a competitor. guess i will just order that one.

I agree, however as they have no stock most people are very impatient and will just order it from OCUK or whom ever else has it in stock at the moment. TBH I think £199 inc. is the right price for these cards, gfx have been going up and up and up in price for far to long now and the competition making them come down is great for the consumer.

Once stock becomes in greater supply all other Etailors will have better stock as well and will more than likely force OCUK to lower the price's down to the £199 level. I'd personally rather pay 15% less (almost 20% when you add shipping!) and get it in 2 weeks time, but hey, I can wait:)
