Hey'a!

I have a HIPER 580WATT, ATX V2.2 as my psu,

I'm considering getting a second graphics card so i can sli it.

two questions though is my psu sufficent? i currently run 4gig ram, one 8800gts 512 graphics card.

soundblaster 24 card, two hard disks which have a total of 750gig, I also run six fans in my pc plus one attached to the cpu, I have two dvd/cd burners

My cpu is a INTEL QUAD CORE Q6600 G0.

:)

my second question is.................

Is it worth the hassel getting a second card and sli'ing it?

I mainly use my pc for games, Call of Duty4 or crysis mainly.....

the od bit of downloading but i tend just to burn dvd's and watch them on tv instead.

cheers!

Wel i got a second 260 gtx and noticed a big improvemant on the games you play.
However it depends at what res you game at. If you game at 1680 1050 or higher it would proberly be worth it if you can get one cheap.

I would say you need another power supply with you running so much stuff along side your graphics cards, but i'm no expert so i could be wrong.

But i guessing most people on this forum would advise you to upgrade to a ati 4850 or 4870 if your after more power.

What's the max resolution your screen can display?

Also, what mainboard do you have?

PSU is enough for sli. I run two gtx's, a quad at 3.6 and 6 hdd's on a 520w.

Though, perhaps ati's 4850x2 or 4870x2 would be a better choice.

Its gonna be close...

I tried running a Q6600 and 2x 8800GT off a decent quality 500watt and it kept rebooting :D put a 600watt OCZ GameXstream in and it was fine tho...
