I have
ASUSTeK Computer INC. K8U-X AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ 2.20GHz 512MB DDR-SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 with 256 memory (AGP)

Will it work?

Fraid not, Vanguard is a bit of a resource hog. The processor is fine, but you could do with 1GB or preferably 2GB of memory, and a much better graphics card - an nvidia 7600 at the absolute minimum if you want it looking anyway decent.

You need more Ram for Vanguard. I've played it with 512 and its awful. The processor/graphics should be ok to play on the lowest settings, but you really need at least 1gb of ram.

I was wondering the same as my spec isn't that much higher than the OP's;
A64 3400+
1.5Gb DDR400
6800GS

I guess I could run it at slightly higher than lowest detail settings, but not by much.

Erm... he asked if it will work. His setup will work perfectly. Just not at high detail.

No, it won't. It'll be practically unplayable with only half a gig of ram and a graphics card that old, regardless of how low he sets everything.

You would be better of playing noughts and crosses on that machine :)

yea it'll work as in u can install the game and it'll load up, but it'll run like a bag of #### even on lowest settings (1-3fps)

The Graphics card and ram need upgrading :)
