Hi Guys

I have a Dell Vostro 200 system and I opened up the case today to find that it only had a 300W Power Supply inside it. Is it enough??

Dual Core Processor, 256 MB Graphics Card, running dual monitor, 1 HDD, 1 Optical Drive, Various USB Devices, Speakers, Wireless PCI Card etc...

Is it enough power to feed this lot?

Details of Spec in signature.

The quality of the power supplies fitted in the Dells are much better than the norm.

Although you may find whilst it is sufficient for the hardware it ships with, it may limit you on any future upgrades.

yup for that spec it is plenty, you're not going to draw much more than about 200W.
The beauty of buying PCs from places like DELL is that you don't have to worry about stuff like this. If you go to upgrade at some point you may have to change it but most people who buy a DELL aren't the sort who upgrade anyway.

I will be upgrading soon.

Looking at getting a new case, some new hard drives, processor and some better quality RAM, and then use the rest of the components that I don't use and build my sister a basic system out of it.

Cheers guys.
