Entanet have confirmed that the 3rd 622 BT Central pipe will be installed between the 8th -22nd december which is good news.

They also in the planning stages of a 4th central pipe.

All good news!

It is good news indeed. I think enta have become fairly busy since the FUP and Traffic Shaping has hit other suppliers.

Soon though I imagine they will end up doing the same. :(

Im sticking to providers who offer a month to month contract basis though, if all go's pair shaped you can just leave at the end of the month.

but they do have a FUP and also clearly state peak and off peak times, you just pay for different scales of it. And if yoou go over the your agreed FUP then they bump you up to the next level.

Because of this I think they are one of the best ISP's out there as its all in black and white.

I spoke to the head guy at Aquiss and they said that if bandwidth was a problem then they would just completely stop accepting new customers. :)

The fact they can get away with only 4 x 622 Mbps is quite frankly shocking, I was building networks 4 x larger than this 5 years ago

That said they are obviously not a Tier1 ISP and must be buying a fair amount of transit etc.

The fact they're looking at having installed 3 Centrals in as many months should be much more concerning - at £1.5M per annum plus the install cost, that's a hell of a lot money to be forking out.

£1.5M each

Somebody saw them coming, I've not seen prices like that since the dot.com days ;) but then BT has ADSL users over a barrel and don't they know it!

Thank Ofcom fixing Central prices until some of this comes into effect. "Competition" at work.

Not quite true, they've said on their forums(in the private customer section)that it would be a pointless exercise as the other Enta resellers wouldnt be doing this ;)

I moved over to Entanet last Monday as I wasn’t happy with Nildram anymore, but Enta appear to be much slower even though Nildram throttle :o I hope its to do with the BT thing, time will tell. If nothing happens then ill go back to Nildram
