Entanet - Not impressed

Hi guys,

recently moved house which forced me away from my 18mb be* connection to an area without adsl2+. fine i thought, the house isnt far from the exchange so ill see why everyone keeps recommending these entanet resellers. so i have been connected with ADSL24 for a week now my router syncs at 8mb and my line profile is set to 6500 which i am happy with however every evening im lucky to get 2mb out of my line. I know i shouldnt really be comparing connections as its totally different but with be i would always hit my max speed whatever the time of day, do other users of entanet suffer the same problem? what makes it depressing is your paying double the price thanks to bt wholesale i guess.

What are you using to test the speed with?

Have you tried raising a support ticket with ADSL24, they are very helpful in my experience and will respond quickly too.

i have been having the exact same problems through ukfsn, put a support ticket in over 2 weeks ago.....still yet to hear anything its a joke.

thinking of changing but not sure who to move to at the moment!

Did you send it to UKFSN (who are a one-man-band) or direct to Enta (who aren't)?

Well their centrals are battered after 8pm as thats when the uncapped downloading takes place. Whats it like during the day ?

yeah i have noticed this, so basically you might as well go with some dirt cheap "unlimited" deal as youll get the same sort of speed anyway due to traffic shaping
