Hey guys.

So this is just at conceptual stage right now but fortunately i am lucky enough to own my own CNC machine so this design will be going forward.

This is what I have so far but may change the design as i go.

I just built myself a new CAD/Rendering rig so I wanted something nice to use it on.

Opinions welcome.

loving the rendering , curious as to what materials you plan on using . also any thoughts on cable management as i cant see nothing obvious ?

Nice to see someone using Solidworks, havnt played with that for a while now.

Table looks great, guess you dont have kids running around with corners like that lol!

Thanks for that, I am infact using Autodesk Inventor Pro, Not solidworks.

I have no kids haha!

I have some new updates I can post on the rendering. i have run into a small issue which is my CNC bed isn't big enough for this project as a result one of my friends is going to do this one for me, the only downside is he has not got a slot free untill next month.

I hoe my post doesnt get removed as the rules say I must update my post weekly.

Once again man looks great :) The front of the desk looks as though it might be quite weak though, with just the thin sections above each dragon head. If you cut that out of MDF man and put any weight on the front of the desk it's likely to snap.

Hi bud, I did a Dynamic simulation / Stress test and it can take upto 25KG on the very tip with only .1mm flex which is not bad at all, that before any bracing is put in (not shown in the renders)
I will have some bracing struts underneath but I am yet to draw those.

This far I have this:

As you can see the vast majority of the weight is toward the rear of the table, the design has been changed also to double the thickness of the legs (the previous simulation was based on 24mm thick legs but they are now 36mm)

Thanks

Thanks guys.

@TehBluebear
I think it must be the angle or the way it came out in the render but it is aligned, I do see it in the picture but not entirely sure why it came out like that.

I think sleeping dogs would be amazing to have on the screens for this table!

@Anox
Surprisingly No, I just do it as a hobby because I enjoy it, i do have my own CNC machine but its purely for hobby. I only work in retail as my day job (no idea why)
