Enterprise graded SSD's

If its SATA i have used 960Gb Samsung PM893 and Micron 5400 Pro. If its NVME you might struggle a bit as most that i have come across are U.2 or PCIe but Samsung do a PM9A3 in the same capacity but you will need a controller or a adapter from 4xPCIe to U.2. Unless the server already has U.2 that supports NVME (I have come across some U.2 that only supports 4xSATA on a couple of server boards) then you will just need the U.2 - 2.5" U.2 Adapter cables.

Hope that helps.

Assuming it's a new/nearly new server (Gen10/Gen10 Plus), why wouldn't you get one of the specified HPE parts?

If you don't mind buying 2nd user, then there are normally a multitude of ex-enterprise HPE SSDs available from a variety of I.T. Brokers on ebay (and if they don't have exactly what you want, getting in touch with them they can normally supply something suitable).

i use multiple enterprise ssds going good so far. even use one in the torrent box so it can take a battering. could do with replacing my micron 5100max for a nvme type one for more speed which hosts the vms.

I'm finding it ironic that you're happy to pay the premium for enterprise graded drives, yet are complaining at the cost of a windows server license.

Use kingston dc500m, micron 5100max, micron 5200 pro and samsung sm883 drives in my main Machine, the Samsung one is in the server as boot and torrent drive, micron max used for the vms
