Currently using VisionApp for managing a few hundred server (RDP) / Switch and routers (SSH) etc using the above tool and seems to handle it quite well, however development and support for the product since it was aquired a year or so back seems to be lacking. As a result I'm evaluating other tools on the market suitable for enterprise use.

The main one that stands out is called Remote Desktop Manager By Devolutions http://remotedesktopmanager.com/

It has a similar if not greater feature set and seems to have a good cycle of releases and updates etc which is more promising. It handles all the different connection protocols and uses a central db with offline mode. And most importantly has fine grain control over the tree, in respect to what users can see etc.

Just wondering what other people are using in there enterprise scale environments for central management, and if anyone else has experience with the above product.

We've got RDM Enterprise for 10 users, running from a SQL Server DB. The offline caching is great as it means I can have a copy on my laptop which auto updates when I'm in the office. Currently have 730 items in the DB - it's an essential tool for us now. We link things like Visio documents into it to make for quick access to diagrams when connecting to servers, switches, routers etc.

Have been meaning to investigate the password manager integration, especially when out of the office and using the cached data.
