I removed the 200MM front intake from the Luxe and replaced it with the 2 X 140MM fans the Luxe came with

I have a Corsair AF 140MM as exhaust

At the top of the case I have 3 X 120MM Corsair AF Fans as exhaust

Would this be the best setup for this case? I'm wondering wether the top should be exhaust or intake, also I have the 200MM fan that I'm not using, I'm wondering if that would be better to go back to the front and I move the 140MM's back to the top

Any suggestions

I would have the 200mm at the front bring air in.

Fans (2 x 140mm) in the roof blowing upwards (helps keep dust from sinking down into the case)

Rear fan blowing out the rear.

Top fan as an intake works well if you are using an air cooler for your cpu as it feeds the cpu cooler directly. I just use the top fan that is in front of the cpu cooler and leave the fan closest to the rear of the case off.

Also you dont want more exhausts than intakes as you will create negative pressure inside the case and dusty air will be sucked in through every unfiltered nuck and cranny.

I do have a CPU air cooler

Would it actually make much difference to temps if all the top fans were in take? There would only be 1 exhaust the 140MM on the back of the case

It's worth playing around with different combinations. In my 650d having the top fan just in front of the cpu cooler as an intake dropped my idle and load temps a few degrees, whereas having the top fans as exhausts made no difference to temps at all for me.

Right now i have 3 fans in the top all exhaust should I just change the one over the CPU to intake and leave the others as exhaust or should I try them all as intake

I've got mine set up with 2x140mm at the front as intakes along with 3 on the top set up as intakes as well. As said previously, this creates positive pressure and even though I only have 1 exhaust fan the rest of the air is pushed out of all the holes and even after about 6 months there is virtually no dust inside the case and temps are good. I previously had the top fans as exhausts however with more output than intakes my case was extremely dusty.

Interested in this as well. I have the same case but don't think my fan setup is the best.

I have 2xAF140's on the front and an AF120 on the bottom as intakes. There's a 140 on the back and one on top with 2xSP120's pushing through my radiator as exhausts.

Would it maybe be worth switching the 2 exhaust 140's to intakes as well and just have the radiator as the exhaust?

I have mine like;
- bottom (with PSU cover removed) 140mm X1 intake
- front (with one of the HDD cages removed) 140mm x2 intake
- top 200mm x1 exhaust
- rear h60 AIO CPU cooler radiator and fan Exhaust

The bottom fan pair with removal of a HDD cage made the biggest improvement I found.

Why would you get rid of that nice (and quiet) 200mm ?

The front 200mm is anything but quiet and I am thinking of putting the 2 phanteks 140mms at the front myself (if only to see if their is a noise difference.

I have 2 SP120 + 2 AF120 Quiet editions at the top on the H105. PWM controlled by the phanteks controller.

Currently using thephanteks 140mm on the back, but may replace with an AF140 for exhaust.

I also have a 120mm on the hard cage blowing onto the gfx card. Connected to the system fan header, it rarely goes above 600rpm so is inaudible while helping the gfx card a little.
