Hi there, I have floated around this section for a while, and if this isnt a good build, or not one fitting of this section, just tell me and ill ask for it to be removed!

I am not doing a full loop, as I simply do not have the funds this year to do so, and I am doing other upgrades instead.

My planned spec is going to be:
Intel i7 5820k CPU
Gigabyte X99-SLI Motherboard
OCUK Tech Labs 240mm AIO Watercooler
16gb Avexir Core Series 2400mhz RED RAM
Sapphire Reference R9 290 (will talk more about this below)
Corsair CX750M
Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Case
Sandisk 120gb SSD, Sandisk Ultra II 240GB SSD, Seagate 1tb 7200RPM, Samsung 500gb 7200RPM Hard drives

The only 2 things in this build I would like to change are the GPU and the PSU but the only feasible upgrade from the 290 is a 980(Ti) which is out of my price range, so im sticking with the trusty 290, and I shall explain later what I am going to do with that.
Also, the PSU is good enough, and will do the job for the minute, but you never know, I may add the extra pennies, or may just decide its not worth the hassle of selling and rebuying.

My plans are basically to do the build on christmas day (the CPU, mobo ram and case are presents) and then over the week or so afterwards, look into my options for the GPU.

I am currently considering buying one of the Kraken G10 brackets and buying a Corsair H50 from my friend who has never used it and hopefully get rid of the horrendous aeroplane noise in my room, but I play with a headset and even still, its annoying!

Another option I have is to get the Accelero Extreme IV and mount that up, which has reported very good results aswell, and will probably work out JUST a bit more expensive than the G10+H50.

Over the next few days I will be adding pictures of the parts I am going to be using and such, so I will try to keep this as active as I can!

Cheers for looking, and should come out with a very good looking rig at the end of it!!

This is very close to my set up. I've gone with 980ti and g10/h55 combo. You will be very happy with the set up I'm sure.

Excellent, always liked the Enthoo Luxe case but afaik, I can't ever remember seeing a build log for one. Looking forward to some pics, good luck with the build dude!

Look forward to seeing the build come together.

If you shop around, you can get the Accelero cooler for £45 with free p+p (sorry ocuk).

As for the psu. May not be the best, but it is not a no name monstrosity. Plus you will have a Shroud to hide it anyway. ;)

Good luck with the build mate. :)

There is 1 that I can think of, and have found, which is green and black, so my chosen red and black ISH should be fun ;)

Pretty sweet spec you got there mate, look forward to seeing it go together :)

Me too dude! I get most bits on christmas, so friday afternoon should be when it all comes together, cant wait!!

Just found that, think ill grab it from there as its quite a bit cheaper unless OCUK fancy sponsoring me one?? Ill happily drop a review and some sweet pics ;)
Yeah, thats what i love about this case, the green would irritate me if i could see it, but i cant so its all good :D
Cheers mate!

I am currently pricing up some cable extensions to match, aswell as the Accelero IV for my 290.
Just seen now that the Astek cooler comes with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut hahaha, just ordered some of the Aeronaut one oh well, cant hurt to have more!

How is the AsTek cooler on the CPU? Does it keep temps nice and low?

The CPU idles around 33c and goes anywhere between 48-55c under gaming load. I did install Noctua fans on the CPU rad and GPU rad (120mm 1500rpm versions) and added a couple of 140mm 1500rpm fans as intakes in place of the stock 200mm front case fan. I took the supplied CPU fans and used them as additional intakes on the bottom and finished off with a 1500rpm exhaust fan behind the CPU rad (top mounted). The H55 was mounted on the rear.

Overall it runs quietly, but I do ramp the H55 fan to 100% when gaming for optimal cooling of the GPU.

I'll be interested to see how your build goes mate.

My only real issue with noctuas is the fact they are so expensive! I understand you get what you pay for, but £15 PER FAN is a bit steep for me bearing in mind I would need like 5!
Another possibility is, seeing how the H100 does on the 5820k and then using the AsTek cooler on the Gpu lol

Also, I realised after the order was shipped that i got the Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut, and the CPU cooler came with Kryonaut lol

Nice. One word of advice I would give. Forget the mounting bracket that comes with the rad and use the mounting gear from the H55 instead. I found that the locking screws are better. If your mobo has a metal back plate then it's simply a case of screwing them in. I felt that I got a better fix with the Corsair bracket over the one supplied with the CPU rad.

You may find this not to be the case for yourself though! :D

Nice to see a CPU cooler finally coming with decent thermal paste. I've never really understood the logic in designing top quality coolers, then shipping them with dirt cheap paste that undoes most of what you gained with the better heatsink / fans :)

Exactly which is why i was happy!
Just a shame ive mixed them up though lol, wish I got more of the kryonaut paste now lol, oh well, im CERTAIN, there will be 1 degree maximum...

Dont have an H55 unfortunately, was looking at getting an H50 off my mate, but turns out its an H60 so it isnt compatible!

Computer is built, just getting some sexy photos!
Just a question while I get them on the PC and upload etc...
My USB devices such as mouse keyboard and headset all go off at the same time, and then straight back on, but its really irritating, and can see it happening at the worst time on CS:GO. Any ideas?

Looking forward to some pics!

What do you mean all usb's go off at the same time?

Basically the computer locks up and they all go off and then straight back on, the lights go off on my keyboard and then back on, think it may be my AMD drivers though, seem to spaz out on occasion, not happened lately, just a few times near the beginning, guessing it was just installing things!

Not sure on quality as they were taken on a poophone 4 lol, just got distracted playing Ark (just bought it) hehe.
Give me 5 ;)

The moment... Here it is.... Ladies and Gentlemen, here are 'poop' pictures, sorry ill try get some better ones tomorrow, in better lighting downstairs..

And thats it, ask for some better ones if you wish, I shall do my best.
