So my EP arrived yesterday, and wow am I impressed, what a case it's bloody lovely. To the point of I can't bring myself to try to fit in an XL-ATX motherboard, so I'm going to try and scrape up some pennies to buy a new board, or use my Z77 kit. The OH isn't to impressed with the new board idea, as I only bought the MSI XPower a few months ago and it is no going spare, although not to waste.

So the first thing I set about doing was stripping out pretty much everything to get an eye for what needs to be done. Then the first mod, with me using a Monsta 420 on the bottom the bottom half of the side panel had to go, so go it did. I'm not sure what to do with the top half though, leave at is with the drive bay catches or remove them and whack a plate on there ? What do you guys think ?

I didn't get any pics of the bare bone case or stripped down as everyone knows what an empty case looks like. Yes the plate needs to be finished I'm just waiting for a set of good files to be delivered.

I no mate, I'm not the best when it comes to using a jigsaw, my plan was to just remove the small bit of plate that got in the way of the bottom rad, but once the screw was removed, the one buy the first fan, it buckled the bloody thing. I'm in the midle of thinking something up to get it using and old case door panel. It has the same brushed ally effect that the res panel has.

Parts are going to be 2 x 7950's an MSI Z87 MPower, and a 4670k all under water.

A 480mm rad will go in the bottom unmodified. You'd only need to cut bits out if you want a 140.3 or 140.4 rad.

You might want to raise case so the bottom has some airflow area. The stock base vent area is only about 90sq cm and 3x 140mm fans have about 460sq cm of area; 425sq cm with fan motor hub deducted. 90sq cm is total area of bottom vents with no consideration for grille airflow restriction. I'm using a castor base which gives me an additional 350sq cm of unrestricted area.
