Entity Relationship Diagrams

Folks

Anyone know of good software for drawing entity relationship diagrams for a database module im currently doing.

Ive tried Dia and Poseidon.

Preferably free.

if your at uni then you should be able to get ahold of visio free via your university IT dept or the Microsoft Academic Alliance (if your uni's a part of it). off the top of my head theres not a good free alternative I can think of. Not sure if openOffice has a visio alternative.

i've heard one or two things about Dia but you've already tried that

theres one called InkScape as well which looks good
