My son has made a right pigs ear of things at school the past year and is currently facing the prospect of leaving with little or no qualifications at the age of 16

he’s currently doing a multi discipline
Construction training course but is only doing
This 2 days a week.

he is very keen on getting into some form
Of IT role in the future but has no experience at any level other than as a basic user.

he would like to look at a broad range and I have no problem funding a few online courses to see what sticks
Is there any recommendations for entry level online courses with a real world benefit for a mixture of disciplines?

Should have a look into CompTia A+ to give him a start off taster, then he could see which sort of direction he wants to go.
I did it a few years back just in my spare time found it interesting / easy enough to work through and wouldn't take long to complete.
Can find a lot of the classes on udemy etc then just pay for tests or do something like I did but ended up quite dear. I went through a place called learning people. I was around 2000 for A+, network+,security+,pen test. All classes and tests included. But there are many directions to go in IT
