Entry Level Windows 10 card

Hi guys,

A family friend has this board with onboard graphics and is unable upgrade to Windows 10. They're currently on 7 and are getting sucked in by all the 'out of support' scare stories etc.

The board has pcie, can someone recommend me a card with know 10 support for around the £25 mark? Secondhand obviously, I'll get them to look at the well know auction site as well as MM on here

The're basic users; web, office/email etc.

I've used an Nvidia GT710 in my TV computer and that worked perfectly in Windows 10. They're not much advice your budget brand new and would be adequate for everything you've listed (just don't expect the little fella to game at all!).

Thanks! That sounds similar to the motherboards onboard card, which isn't compatible? Might not be.

They've found a brand new AMD 6450 card in their son's old room, that was left behind when he went to Uni. So I'll be fitting that at the weekend

Yeah, the 6450 will work fine too. It launched 5 years before the GT710 and is a little less powerful but will still run YouTube at 1080p easily, and crucially has Windows 10 drivers. Last supported ones for the 6450 are 15.7.1 (WHQL) or 16.2.1 (officially Beta).

Can't argue with 'free' though!
