I'm starting to get into macro photography but me being me, I'm trying to spend as little cash as possible.
As some you may have read I bought some extension tubes yesterday and I'm now looking about for a decent lens to stick on the end.
I already have my 50mm F1.8, but to get aperture control you have to attach the lens to the camera set the aperture then remove the lens (while holding depth of field preview button) and add the tubes.
I've read that it works but I can see this getting on my nipples when all I want to do is stop one once.
So, I've had a look about and thought the FD mount lens would be a good idea. For one, there not that expensive and secondly, most have a aperture ring on the lens getting me past the issue of setting the aperture via a lens swap.
Thing is, I'm going to need a EOS to FD mount converter so I can mount the FD lens on the end of my tubes or directly on the body it's self.
They seem to be quite expensive (£35+) for a small bit of metal is the cheapest I've found so far. Sadly my budget can't cover both that and the cost of a FD lens as well.
Does anyone know where I can get one cheap??
Does anyone have one they don't use and want to sell it to me??
