I'm keen to get back into using slide film. Had a 50e few years ago. Liked that camera very much. Have a middle of the road digital cam but miss my 35mm slide film days. I was looking to buy second hand, a eos 50e or eos 5 from one of the online shops. Maybe even stretch to a eos1. However, my brother in law advised me a friend of his has a eos 1000 fn for sale, along with 2 lens. 80x200 possibly canon, and 35x105, also possibly canon. I have searched for a few reviews on this camera and it seems okay. However, before I take the plunge, can anyone help with guidance? I like the feel of larger cameras and don't mind lugging the weight around. Also these 2 lens, I've searched on the net but cannot see any info about them. Will be looking at this kit tomorrow evening. £150.00 is the asking price, but my brother in law says maybe offer £100.00 if I like the look of this kit. Some advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Seems this kit on offer may well be over priced. I may go for another 50e or eos 5 and look around for better lens. I checked out that link the-digital-picture.com and there is some good info re lens. Thanks again.

Okay, just an update. Looked at kit on offer this evening.

Both Lens are Cannon:

80-200
35-103 usm

Camera feels nice to hold, seems well made.
May be able to get him to come down to £80.00
